A coaster’s job looks simple — protect a surface from a glass or cup — but the details that separate a coaster people notice from one they don’t are material choice, edge finish, and how it holds up to repeated contact with condensation and spills. Leather and PU coasters need to resist moisture without warping or peeling at the edge, which is why stitched or bound edges tend to outlast a raw-cut edge in daily hospitality use.
We manufacture in three main formats: round coasters (the most common shape for bars and restaurant tables), square coasters (common in hotel rooms and corporate settings, often paired with a matching tray), and coaster sets — typically four or six coasters packaged together, sometimes with a stitched leather holder or stand, which is the format most corporate gifting and hotel-room orders ask for.
Backing matters as much as the top surface. Most of our coasters use a stitched double-layer leather or PU construction, sometimes with a thin cork or rubber base layer added underneath for grip and extra absorbency — useful for bar and restaurant use where coasters get moved around a table frequently, less necessary for a static hotel-room set that mostly sits on a nightstand or minibar counter.
Used for higher-visibility settings — bar tops, fine-dining tables, executive hotel rooms, and corporate gifting sets where the coaster is meant to be noticed and handled directly by a guest or recipient.
A lower-cost option for larger batch orders, such as full-property hotel rollouts or high-volume restaurant and café orders where every table needs a set and unit cost matters more than material.
Both materials are available with the same stitched-edge construction, so the choice comes down to budget and how much daily handling the coasters will get rather than a difference in build quality.
Logo embossing, debossing or foil stamping on the coaster face is the most common request, usually centered or placed in a corner depending on the logo shape. For sets sold with a holder, a second, smaller mark on the holder itself is sometimes requested alongside the branding on each coaster.
Because a coaster is a small surface, we generally advise against very detailed logos with fine text — these tend to lose clarity when embossed at this size, and a simplified version of the logo usually reads better in practice. This is discussed with the client before production if the submitted logo file looks like it might be too detailed for the coaster size.
Restaurant and bar tables — the highest-frequency use case, where coasters are handled constantly, moved between guests, and need to hold up to daily condensation and cleaning.
